Garmin-Asus might not have exactly set the markets on fire with their offerings so far, but we have a feeling that things could change with the A10 which it launched today. The A10 is an Android device running version 2.1 (upgradeable to 2.2) of the operating system. On the specs front, it sports a 3.2 inch TFT display, 512 MB RAM, a 600 MHz processor, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 5.0-megapixel autofocus shooter. Of course, it has lots of Garmin’s navigation goodies thrown into it as well such as pedestrian navigation and an electronic compass, and some very neat touches like being able to send a geotagged image to your friends who can then plot a route to the place shown in the picture by just clicking on it! But what we like best is its price – Rs 18,990 is the official price tag, which should make it exceptionally attractive to travelers, and throws it right against the HTC Widlfire in the 5MP shooter, 2.1 Android segments. We hope to be reviewing it soon. Watch this space.
