Now this is surely a geek’s delight. We recently had a significant dose of 3D and the best part of the day was the 3D cameras that we played around with. Here, are the Panasonic HDC-TM 750 / VW-CLT1 (lens) 3D camcorder that retails for around $1400 and happens to be one of the more affordable solutions for 3D video (powered by a 14.2MP 12x optical Zoom). On the budget side was the Aiptek 3D camcorder with dual 5 megapixel sensors; this one costs roughly $200. Joining in is the magnificent dual lens powered Fujifilm W3 and the Sony TX9 (single lens) that does some smart stitching on the pictures to make a 3D view for you. Again, our constraint of delivering this on a 2D medium hurts us, but we experienced the output from these cams and it’s an experience in itself! The W3 produces stunning results, and the Taj Mahal can only be felt so closely in real life. The 3D images that we saw were incredible. As for the video from Panasonic VWCLT1, it does the best job in a 20ft range, and it actually isn’t as bulky as the images make it look. We genuinely hope to have a better look at these cameras sometime soon and also serve up some sample 3D shots for the lucky few who have a 3D display!
We have an exclusive video with Patric of Nvidia showing of these 3D toys and explaining us how things work. While that’s coming soon, you can drool at the hands-on pictures of these 3D toys.
Beautiful product… nice info…. thanks for sharing
Ohh, all these photos are from the NVIDIA meet.. Cheers.. Good use of the opportunity to review the 3D cameras!!
