Honor 7X was unveiled as the successor of Honor 6X phone in October in China. The same smartphone has been globally unveiled on Tuesday alongside the Honor View 10 flagship phone.
Honor 7X Specifications and Features
The Honor 7X is fitted with a 5.93-inch IPS LCD panel that offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. Like the newly unveiled View 10, the Honor 7X also carries support for Full HD+ resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. It boasts a premium appeal as it features a metal unibody design that measures 156.5 x 75.3 x 7.6mm and weighs 165 grams.
The Kirin 659 chipset that powers the Honor 9i (aka Mate 10 Lite) is present under the hood of the Honor 7X. The SoC is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The handset comes in three storage models such as 32 GB and 64 GB. It also supports a microSD card through the hybrid dual SIM slot. It includes a 3,340mAh battery.
The rear panel features a dual camera module that includes a 16-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. It supports features like bokeh effect photography and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). The front panel houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It is pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat OS that is customized with EMUI 5.1. The connectivity features available on the Honor 7X include 3.5mm audio jack, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, v4.1 Bluetooth, and GPS. The back panel is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner.
Honor 7X Pricing and Availability
In India, the Honor 7X will go on sale from 7th December starting at 12 PM exclusively on Amazon India. The retailer site has already started receiving registrations for the phone. The 32 GB and 64 GB storage models of the phone will be respectively available with a pricing of Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 15,999. The smartphone will be coming in three color choices such as Aurora Blue, Midnight Black and Platinum Gold.
Amazon India will be giving away 150 units of 10,000mAh power bank and 850 earphones to select registered users. The retailer giant will be providing twenty winners with Honor 7X phone for those who participate in “Amazon Registration and Amazon App Event.” Lastly, seven registrants will be getting Rs. 75,000 worth holiday packages from Yatra.
The Honor 7X is also available on pre-orders in the U.S. and European markets starting from today. The unlocked 32 GB Honor 7X with 3 GB of RAM priced at $199 (~Rs. 12,815) will be available in the U.S. whereas its 64 GB variant that features 4 GB of RAM will be available in the Europe.
Also, the U.S. will be getting the Honor 7X in Aurora Blue and Midnight Black color options. In Europe, it will be available in three color options like Aurora Blue, Midnight Black and Platinum Gold. The last date for pre-ordering the Honor 7X in the U.S. and Europe is 14th December. Users in the U.S. and European nations can order the smartphone through online store of HiHonor.
