Many people including us are very uncomfortable with the Mobile view of any website, we always prefer a full desktop view and the stock android browser does not allow that for some websites, but we figured out a way to solve this problem, read on.
Your phone does not have to be rooted or modified for this procedure it works on all Android devices and all version, you can get back to us if there is any problem in our comment section.
- Open the Stock Android Browser and go to any website that you want to view in desktop mode
- Once the site opens up in Mobile view again click on the URL bar and erase the address of the current page
- Type this in the URL bar:
About:debug without any space
- No changes will appear and you will still be at the same page without any changes
- Now press menu and open settings
- Go to the last option UA string
- Change UA String to Desktop
- Go back to the page and re-enter the URL of your desired web page
- There it is you will load into Desktop version of the site
- If you want to revert back to the Mobile version then follow the same procedure and select Android from the UA settings and reboot the phone
My Virgin Mobile Samsung Intercept needed about:config instead of about:debug.
