Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the first device from Sony Ericsson to come out with the Android operating system and this fare has been the most popular phone on Sony’s list do far. The only bad thing about this is that it comes with Android 2.1 now and also has a locked bootloader but people have managed to load custom ROMS and news is that even the bootloader has been unlocked so it is just the beginning for development of the Sony Ericsson devices. This is a rooting guide of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 it is quite simple and uses only a single application.
How to Root the Xperia X10:
Requirements:
- Download SuperOneclick from here
Procedure:
- Install the USB drivers (it automatically gets installed when the phone is connected to the computer)
- Enable USB debugging on your phone (Settings > Application > Development)
- Run the SuperOneclick application that you downloaded from the above link
- Choose the option root
- Let the process finish
- Then run the test in the end
- You have root access!
Note: You may have to run the shell root option too to gain full root access. Use the latest SuperOneclick application with respect to firmware. This application will only work on the phones running Android 2.1. The ones already on 2.3 and 2.2 custom roms won’t be able to use this method but all the custom ROMS already come rooted.
