HP has announced the launch of its new Ultrabook laptop in India. The newest addition to HP’s Ultrabook range is the Envy Spectre which has been priced at Rs,99,999 and packs in a lot of features. Let’s take a closer look at the Spectre and see what you get for a lakh of rupees.
To start with, let us remind you that this is an Ultrabook. For the same reason, the display size on this one is just 14 inches across which for an Ultrabook, is quite large. Anything beyond 14 inches and it would be categorized as a normal laptop.
The Spectre was first seen in flesh at the CES back in January 2012 and took just over two months to make its debut in India. The Spectre is powered by Intel’s latest generation Core processors and packs in 4 or 8 GB of RAM depending on the configuration you choose. You also get an option to select from a 128 GB or 256 GB SSD for storage purposes. Those who are keen on graphic performance might be disappointed to see the onboard Intel HD 3000 on board graphics chipset inside the ultrabook
Connectivity options on the device include a Mini DisplayPort, a single USB 3.0 port, Ethernet port, HDMI and one microphone-in/headphone stereo-out jack combo port. In India HP offers users a 2-year subscription to Norton Anti-virus. This is apart from full versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10 preloaded on the system.
While the Envy Spectre is a great looking laptop, the price of Rs.99,999 for the same is on the higher side considering the kind of specs it boasts of.
