HTC has officially launched the Desire 12 and Desire 12+ mid-range smartphones. The new Desire series phones are equipped with 18:9 aspect ratio supporting display and impressive design. The pre-orders of the Desire 12 have already begun, and its shipments are expected to begin in European countries starting from next month.
HTC Desire 12, Desire 12+ Specifications and Features
The Desire 12 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that supports HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek MT6739 SoC and it comes in two storage variant such as 16 GB and 32 GB that respectively feature 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM. A 2,730mAh battery is present under the hood of the device.
The rear panel of the Desire 12 features a 13-megapixel snapper with f/2.2 aperture. For snapping selfies, it is fitted with f/2.4 aperture 5-megapixel camera. The Desire 12 is loaded with Android Nougat OS and Sense UI. It lacks a fingerprint scanner
The Desire 12+ is fitted with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen that also supports HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 450 chipset powers the Desire 12+ smartphone along with 3 GB of RAM. It features a native storage of 32 GB. It receives power from 2,965mAh battery.
For photography, it is equipped with dual rear cameras that includes an f/2.2 aperture 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It is fitted with an f/2.0 aperture selfie camera of 8-megapixel. The Desire 12+ is running on Android 8.0 Oreo OS that is skinned with HTC Sense UI. The back panel of the phone features a fingerprint reader.
The HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ try to imitate the “liquid surface” glass rear of the HTC U11+. The Taiwanese company has used acrylic rear that offers a reflective design instead of the glass. The Desire 12 duo can be availed in Black, Gold and Purple colors. The other common features that are available on the Desire 12 duo are microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack.
HTC Desire 12, Desire 12+ Pricing and Availability
Depending on the market, the pricing of the Desire 12 ranges between 185 euros and 199 euros. On the other side, the Desire 12+ costs between 235 euros and 249 euros. The Taiwanese manufacturer has already started receiving the pre-orders of the Desire 12 and Desire 12+. These phones are slated to get announced at the beginning of the next month.
