HTC India has launched its latest Android smartphone, the Evo 3D here in India. The Evo 3D is the first 3D capable handset from the HTC stables and boasts of quite a few unique features. The most noticeable amongst those are the dual cameras at the back that lets users capture visuals in 3D.
Let’s now delve in to the features of this handset. To start with, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Dual Core processor running at 1.2 Ghz. The S3 supports stereoscopic, glassless 3D viewing and is mated to to the Adreno 220 GPU which ensures that the phone is up there with the best when it comes to 3D graphic prowess. The 4.3 inch display has a resolution of 540*960.
Notable features of the Evo 3D include dual 5 megapixel cameras at the back. The phone also gets a 1.3 megapixel camera at the front for video calling purposes. With 1 GB of RAM, the phone will never feel sluggish. As for storage, the device gets 4 GB of internal memory which can be augmented using micro SD cards of up to 32 GB in capacity.
To power all these functions, the phone gets a meaty 1730 mAh battery which is even greater in capacity than that of the 1650 mAh one fond on the Galaxy S II. On the software front, the phone runs Android 2.3 and also gets the updated HTC proprietary Sense UI.
The phone is now on sale in India for Rs 35,990 which according to us, is on the steeper side – especially with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S retailing below the Rs. 30k mark.
