I am sure you might be well aware of the Facebook event scheduled for later this month. The popular perception is that Facebook would be launching a phone at this event. Now, folks from over at @evleaks have posted an image of an HTC made device that would be introduced at the event scheduled for this Thursday.
This device is likely to be known as the HTC First. The press render though has been earlier referred to as the HTC Myst. As of now, what we know of the likely specifications are that it would sport a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 processor, 1GB RAM, a 5MP rear camera as well as a 1.6MP front-facing camera. Being an HTC, it would obviously come loaded with HTC Sense 4.5 running atop Android 4.1.2. The display is rumored to measure 4.3-inches across and would sport a resolution of 1280*720. And as expected, this would come with deep Facebook integration. Internal memory is touted to be 16 GB with no option for further expansion.
Rumors are on about something known as the Facebook Home which would act as the launcher for the device.
The rest of the details about this upcoming smartphone remains shrouded in mystery. Also to be noted is that Facebook had in the past as well collaborated with HTC to manufacture a dedicated Facebook phone.
Anyway, with less than 24 hours to go for the event, the secret is almost ready to be unveiled.
