We all knew that HTC’s flagship Windows Phone 7 handset, the HD7 was already available in India since the past few weeks. However, it is now that HTC has decided to officially launch the handset across the country. The phone has now been launched in India along with a tie up with Airtel. The official price of the handset is Rs.29,990.
The phone, when purchased from Airtel will offer consumers a data pack to download 2GB data per month for 6 months at Rs 300. While we do not think that the offer is enticing enough (especially considering the fact that Airtel has a plan that offers GPRS at Rs.98 with a 2GB data cap) you might want to consider it.
As for the features on the HD7, let us remind you about its 4.3 inch SLCD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor capable of crunching numbers at 1Ghz, 576 MB of RAM and a 5 megapixel camera. As expected, the phone is also capable of recording HD videos at 720p resolution.
Ahhh….but Windows Phone 7 has still not been officially launched in India, so we have a device whose hardware is supported but whose software is not…fascinating.
well well, HTC sure jumped the gun. But then its a mad mad smartphone race. Don’t blame them, Sheila and Munni do have a attraction.
