Looks like the official launch of the HTC HD7 in India isn’t much far apart. Folks over at Flipkart are already selling the HTC HD7 in India for Rs.29,999. The HD7 is HTC’s flagship Windows Phone 7 handset that boasts of a 4.3 inch SLCD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor capable of crunching numbers at 1Ghz, 576 MB of RAM and a 5 megapixel camera. As expected, the phone is also capable of recording HD videos at 720p resolution.
There are also rumors about the possibility of HTC announcing a bunch of Windows Phone 7 handsets in India in the next few weeks.
The HD7 is analogous to the Windows Mobile 6.5 powered HD2 which was one of the last devices to run Microsoft’s beleaguered OS. Many had expected that the HD2 would be someday officially updated with Windows Phone 7 since it had the hardware that could easily run the OS.
However, that did not happen and months later, they came up with the HD7 which is quite similar to the HD2.
