Remember the HTC Magic? The device was one of the first Android devices to officially arrive in India. Well for all you people still using the HTC Magic, here’s some fantastic news coming your way. The phone will soon be getting a very welcome update to Android 2.1 Froyo soon. The update will hit users of the phone on the Vodafone UK Network. With this update, the phone will get a bunch of feature additions like support for USB Tethering, the all new Gmail and YouTube versions and much needed support for Exchange. You will also be able to copy apps to flash memory cards – a thing which was a distant dream for all HTC Magic users until now.
Note that since this is a Vodafone specific update, there is still a question mark looming over the availability of this one on unbranded, normal HTC Magics. If you are a Vodafone UK user with the HTC Magic, you will soon receive a notification alerting you about the availability of the update.
