HTC seems to be in the mood to announce a bunch of new launches at the ongoing MWC it seems. To start off the proceedings, it has announced its first Android Tablet in the form of the HTC Flyer – a 7inch Gingerbread powered tablet and new mid-range devices like the HTC Cha Cha and the Salsa which have been announced. Along with all these HTC has also refreshed its Android line up with three new devices – the Incredible S, Wildfire S and the Desire S. We will be talking about the Incredible S here.
The Incredible S the same handset that was “leaked” last month on the Taiwan Subway. This handset features a 4 inch display and runs Android 2.2 (not Gingerbread!) and is powered by a 1 Ghz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor. It gets 768 MB of RAM and has an 8 megapixel shooter at the rear. The camera also records video at 720p and has dual LED flash for low light imaging and Video recording. The 1450 mAH battery might just be inadequate to power this, we think – but then, you can always add a spare battery should you be a heavy user. The screen resolution remains the same when compared to the existing HTC lineup at 800*480.
The phone will launch sometime in Q2 at a price that is yet to be announced.
