Idea Cellular has been for quite some time releasing handsets under their own “Idea 3G Smartfone” brand. In the past we have seen the company launch a couple of handsets under the Aurus brand. The latest iteration of the same has just been announced. Known as the Idea Aurus 4, the handset is billed as the successor to the Aurus 3 launched earlier this year.
Let us check the specs of the device now. We start with the processor which happens to be a Mediatek MT 6572 SoC that houses a dual core ARM Cortex A7 chip running at 1.3 Ghz. Taking care if the graphics bit is the Mali 400 MP GPU which is strictly entry level. The device features a 4.5 inch 480*854 pixel display which is fairly decent for a device in its price bracket.
The Aurus 4 gets 512 MB of RAM which might be slightly on the lower side – but we can live with that. Internal memory on the handset is 4 GB. This can be expanded further using micro SD cards. Taking care of the imaging bit is a 5-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera. This can handle 720p video recording as well. There is a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera thrown in as well. The handset also happens to be a dual-SIM device (GSM+GSM). It would be made available invtwo color options – Black and White. We have the Black version with us for review right now. More details in our review of this handset coming up shortly!
The handset has been priced at Rs.8999.
