Idea Cellular has announced the launch of its new 3G ‘Speed Booster’ packs that would allow its postpaid 3G subscribers access to high speed 3G Internet access – all through their billing cycle – without having to worry about reaching the data cap. This will also let them use the full speed of Idea’s 3G network eve n after they are over their data cap. Usually, these customers would have to wait till the next billing cycle so that they can enjoy the “full” 3G speeds once they are over their download cap.
Once the users reach their data cap, they can opt to “recharge” with denominations of Rs. 100, 175 and 250 – which will allow them to “extend” their data cap by 300 MB, 500 MB and 1 GB of 3G data, respectively. Now, if users ran out of this limit too, they can again use these speed boosters. They can recharge with these denominations as many times as they want. The offers are available to all 3G postpaid – NetSetter and mobile – subscribers who have Unlimited and Bill secure plans.
If you happen to be an Idea 3G postpaid subscriber you can purchase these packs from any Idea centre across the country. Another way to subscribe to these packages is to call up the call centre and ask them to activate the service. Yet another way to do it is to send an SMS with the text ACT<SPACE>SB<SPACE>100 or ACT<SPACE>SB<SPACE>175 or ACT<SPACE>SB<SPACE>250 and send it to 12345. The plans will get activated within 24 hours of the request and the customers will be notified of the activation through a SMS.
