As far as confusion goes, this one ranks pretty high in the surprise department. We were playing around with the OlivePad, India’s first 3.5G tablet which has been updated to Froyo recently (yes, yes, a review is coming up on the site shortly), when we noticed something strange. It happened while we were browsing Facebook. Facebook’s site and app have a habit of recommending that you download an app or bookmark for your mobile device at the very bottom of the landing page. Now, this generally involves identifying your mobile device–, and this is where Facebook served us a surprise. For, the social networking site asked us to “Download Facebook for your Galaxy Tab”! Now, we know that such cases of incorrect identification do happen from time to time, but this one actually had us in splits. The folks at Olive will not be complaining, we reckon. Now, excuse us, but we have a review to write!
