Transsion Holdings, a smartphone manufacturer from Hong Kong that sells smartphones under different branding like Tecno, Itel, Spice and Infinix had unveiled the Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro smartphones in November last year. Today, it has unveiled the Infinix Hot S3 smartphone with full screen design and a selfie camera that is capable of shooting impressive shots in dim light conditions through a launch event in Mumbai.
Infinix Hot S3 Specifications and Features
Housed in a metal and plastic combination chassis, the InfinixHot S3 sports an impressive appeal as it features an elongated 18:9 aspect ratio display. The handset can be availed in color choices like Sandstone White and Brush Gold. The Hot S3 is fitted with an IPS LCD display of 5.65 inches. The screen that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels is placed under a 2.5D curved glass.
The main highlight of the Infinix Hot S3 is its selfie camera. It features a 20-megapixel front-facing with f/2.0 aperture that is equipped with an LED flash. It supports photo shooting modes like wide-angle selfie and time-lapse. The front-facing camera has been optimized to capture impressive images in low-light conditions. The dual-LED enabled 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture is positioned on the top-left corner of the back panel of the Hot S3.
The Android 8.0 Oreo OS is available pre-installed on the phone. It is overlaid with the company’s own Android skin called XOS 3.0 Hummingbird. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has confirmed that the Infinix Hot S3 will be treated with Android P.
The Snapdragon 430 chipset drives the Hot S3. Its 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants respectively feature 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. It supports up to 128 GB of microSD on its external storage slot. A 4,000mAh battery that is coupled with 5V/2A fast charging powers the Hot S3. The connectivity features available on the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, microUSB and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Infinix Hot S3 Pricing and Availability
The Infinix Hot S3 will be exclusively available for buying on Flipkart starting from 12th February at 12 PM. The 32 GB Hot S3 carries a price tag of Rs. 8,999 whereas the 64 GB model can be availed for Rs. 10,999. It will be competing with some of the other full screen similarly priced smartphones in India such as Honor 7X, Honor 9 Lite and LG Q6.
