Intex has announced the launch of a new Android powered handset in India. Called the Aqua 4.0 3G, the device is mainly targeted at the youth – on the lookout for an affordable, feature packed Android device.
The phone features an 800MHz processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Assisting the processor is 512MB of ROM and 131MB of internal memory. You can of course use micro SD cards and increase the memory up to 32 GB.
The phone happens to sport dual SIM capability and comes with access to popular games on the Android platform which include Talking Tom, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and much more.
The display on the device is a 3.5-inch 2-point capacitive touch panel which sports a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The phone also sports a front video calling camera which has a resolution of 0.3 megapixels. The main camera at the rear can capture images at 3 megapixels. It also doubles up as a decent camcorder should you feel like recording some videos.
On the connectivity front, the device features support for GPRS, Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi. Powering the hardware is a battery rated at 1400 mAH which is claimed to offer up to 3 hours of talktime or 140 hours of standby time.
The company has priced the Intex Aqua 4.0 3G at Rs. 5490 and is available in retail outlets across the country as we publish this.
