A while back myself and Nimish discussed the Facebook phone on our podcast andafter a dry spell it seems that the rumors are back. Facebook is holding a Mobile event at its HQ next week (Nov 3rd) and you know what that points towards. The old rumor of a Facebook phone are back, and we wait to see how the social media giant plans to shake up the mobile market.

We had several doubts on what purpose/gap will the Facebook phone fill, but ts a fact that Facebook has put in immense effort in making itself available across mobile platforms, ranging from the iPhone to WebOS. Facebook certainly sees mobile as the future, and if this would be another software platform for smartphones or a Real Facebook phone needs to be seen. And don’t be surprised if it turns out to be something entirely different. Apps on Facebook are pretty popular, and you never know if Facebook has that vision, etting the Facebook with apps on mobiles. Watchout!
