On previous occasions we could only speculate as to who would get the Honeycomb love first, but Google’s Andy Rubin has made it clear by carrying a Motorola prototype running a build of Honeycomb at the D: Dive Into Mobile conf. The date has been put at early 2011 and if thats the time when Honeycomb would actually come out, we can be sure that it won’t be before Q2 that we will see the flood of Honeycomb releases. However Motorola would in all probability show this little one at CES 2011 and who knows, it might well go on sale early aswell (remember the Droid?).
The tablet in the picture is said to run a dual-core 3D chip from NVIDIA chip allowing it to do a hell lot more. Example cited is a vector version of Google Maps that plays in a lot of new ways and with a lot of offline data possible on it. The Gmail app was also shown (two pane), and its certain that Google has left no stone unturned to make it an iPad competitor. A new API that is expected with Honeycomb will allow apps to identify when they are on a tablet and accordingly take a new avatar
Coming up almost a year after the Apple iPad, it would be interesting to see how the Honeycomb offerings stack up against the iPad 2nd gen!

Looks better than iPad! I hope 4G can live up to people’s expectations. And also, I hope that this new technology has something new to offer aside from a different name. I would like to congratulate Verizon for being the first company to launch 4G! Honestly, I am quite optimistic with this one although I am quite doubtful if the bandwidth will be able to keep up with the demand.
