We all knew this was coming soon. But it is always good when the arrival of the obvious is officially announced. We are talking about the good ol’ Nexus One getting the all important update to Android 2.3 “Gingerbread”. Yes the original Nexus was kinda off the limelight ever since Google’s newest Nexus, the Nexus S arrived a few weeks ago. But let’s not for get that the Nexus One is still pretty much a contemporary device. If you’re still wondering what the hoopla is all about, let us inform you that the Nexus One’s offcial Twitter account has posted a simple one liner tweet that most N1 users were waiting for for quite some time.
The Tweet read: ” The Gingerbread OTA for Nexus One will happen in the coming weeks. Just hang tight!”
While the tweet stopped short of announcing an exact date of launch, for now, this should keep most N1 users happy. You know, spending those sleepless nights in anticipation of a probable update tomorrow – only hardcore Android freaks will understand what I am trying to convey here!
