Microsoft’s revolutionary “no controller” motion controlling system, Kinect, is now available for pre order in India. And with it, we finally have the prices. According to the Microsoft website, the Kinect will be available for Rs 9,990 stand alone and for Rs 22,990 if purchased with the just-launched 4 GB Xbox 360. Not a bad deal that, although we must confess to being a little intrigued as to why no package deal has been offered for the new Xbox 360 Slimor even the older consoles (yes they will need an adaptor to connect, but still…there are plenty of them around)
Contents of the Kinect box will be the Kinect sensor, power supply cable, user’s manual, a Wi-Fi extension cable and a copy of the Kinect Adventures game. And if you do happen to pre-order it, you will be entitled to a discount and a few other freebies and best of all, to quote the website, “your order will be delivered by 19th of November, prior to the official market launch of Kinect.” We are not even going to ask what you are waiting for.

There’s something more capable under development for PC/Mac/Linux called O3Di.
This looks like a good deal for Xbox 360 fans in India. I wonder how motion gaming will do in India.
