We have received the media invite for the launch of the Lenovo K4 Note in New Delhi in India. The event is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on January 5th, 2016. The K4 Note is one of the most highly anticipated low budget smartphone launches of the year, thanks to the success enjoyed by the Lenovo K3 Note, which it would be succeeding. The Lenovo K3 Note as of early November had sold more than a million units, despite being an online exclusive on Flipkart. Several independent marketing researchers such as the Counterpoint Technology Market Research termed the K3 Note as the best-selling smartphone of Q3 in 2015. The expectations no doubt, from the K4 are immense and sky high.
The K4 Note is expected to bring several flagship features such as a fingerprint scanner as well as an NFC chip. The revelation that the device has a fingerprint scanner comes from Social Media teasers, which shows the phone to have the scanner on the back, a bit like that seen on the Nexus 5X and 6P. Closely inspecting the artwork, we reckon that the scanner is not round but more of an oval rectangular shape exactly like the way your fingers are. The tweet read, “The K4 Note now has Fingerprint security thnx to you! As a bonus, we threw in an NFC chip as well! #KillerNote2016”.

It was also confirmed that the phone will have 3 GB of RAM as well as what looks like a metallic body. Specifications about the display, processor and the camera are under the wraps, but we would expect the same to be gradually unveiled, so keep an eye on Lenovo’s social media channels, especially Twitter. The phablet is expected to remain an exclusive to Flipkart online, just like its predecessor.
Waiting for this one, amazing one
