Lenovo had a good run with the K3 Note last year, being the only Full HD phone under Rs 10000 helped its sales immensely. Naturally the expectations were really high for its successor the Lenovo K4 Note and it looks like they have delivered what the had previously teased about.
Lenovo launched the K4 Note in India on 5th Jan at an event in Delhi. The K4 Note has improved specifications when compared to the K3 Note and a few new additions as well. Lenovo has maintained the good things about the K3 Note like the 5.5 inch Full HD display which made it a hot seller. The display translates into a pixel density of 401PPI and this time around it gets a coating of Gorilla Glass 3.
The K4 Note gets a shiny metal body with rounded corners that makes it easier to hold when compared to the boxy K3 Note. The internals have got a minor change as well, the device sports a MediaTek6753 Processor which is an Octa Core chip clocked at 1.3GHz along with 3GB of RAM. The camera resolution on paper remains the same with a 13 megapixel sensor at the back and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The technology however has changed, the 13 megapixel camera uses ISOCELL technology to get well lit images in low lighting conditions.
The Lenovo K4 Note gets a fingerprint scanner making it the next best option after the Coolpad Note 3. The phone has the fingerprint scanner just below the camera like the arrangement on the Huawei Nexus 6P. The scanner can be used to quickly unlock the device and can store upto 5 fingerprints. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a layer of Vibe UI on top.
The Vibe K4 Note has stereo front facing speakers along with Dolby Atmos sound technology. This is the first smartphone from Lenovo to have front facing speakers in recent times. The K4 Note uses two 1.5 W speakers that are driven by Wolfson audio driver. There are 3 mics on the device that help in noise cancellation when recording video and on calls. The phone has 16GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot that accepts cards up to 128GB.
The price of the Lenovo K4 Note in India is Rs. 11,999, Lenovo is also selling a ANT VR kit for Rs. 1299. Lenovo also offers both of them together for a bundled price of Rs 12,499.
