In an event held in Mumbai, Lenovo launched the Yoga Tab 3 Pro and the Yoga 900 for its Indian audience and are priced for Rs. 39,990 and Rs. 1,22,990 respectively.
The Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a 10.1 inch tablet having a QHD (2560 x 1600 pixels) display. The device runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 and will be powered by the Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor along with 2GB of RAM. On the imaging front, the Tab Pro 3 comes with a 13 MP primary camera and 5 MP secondary camera. The tablet comes with 32GB of onboard storage which is expandable through a microSD card slot. Being part of the Yoga Series, this tablet like its predecessors can be placed in different modes; for instance a desk-stand mode to watch movies, or a tilted landscape mode which would make it easier for typing. You can even hang it to any hook to say, mount it on your refrigerator and refer to recipes.
One of the feature which stands out for the Tab 3 Pro from others is the inbuilt projector that can be rotated by 180 degrees and the video can then be projected on a wall. It is capable of projecting an equivalent of a 70-inch screen, thus giving a experience of home theater to enjoy movies and videos. The tablet also has four speakers fit right above the display, that support Dolby Atmos. But in the little time that we heard the output, they didn’t seem to sound substantially different from other tablet speakers. The Tab 3 Pro is priced for Rs. 39,990 and will be available for sale through Flipkart.
The Lenovo Yoga 900 is a successor to the company’s Yoga 3 Pro. The devices measures 14.9 mm making it the thinnest Convertible laptop with an Intel Core i7 processor which weighs 1.29 kgs only. The device promises some top-notch computing while maintaining it’s sleekness. It has a 13.3 inch display with a resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels. It comes powered with a latest Skylake Core i7 processor (6th Gen) coupled with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. The unique-looking ‘watchband hinge’ consists of several hundred mechanical parts that help the screen firmly sit in any position. For example, you can tilt the screen all the way to the back and use it like a tablet, like many other Lenovo laptops.
The Yoga 900 runs on the latest Windows 10 OS and includes a 66Whr battery. There are 2 USB 3.0 ports, a headphone jack and an SD card reader. The laptop is available in Champagne Gold colour and is priced for Rs. 1,22,090. It is available for purchase in Croma outlets and Lenovo stores.
