Looks like Lenovo has taken upon itself to introduce India to a new era of incredibly thin, small, light and ultra-responsive computing devices. After launching world’s smallest enterprise desktop recently, Lenovo, yesterday announced the launch of IdeaCentre A720- the world’s slimmest all in-one personal computer. The IdeaCentre A720 is powered by 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processors, and offers a view in a thin, frameless display that brings the best in computing and entertainment in a super stylish form. All of it comes at a steep price of INR 89,990/- onwards.
The IdeaCentre A720 features a 27-inch frameless,10-finger multi-touch screen which can be folded flat to turn it into an interactive tabletop for games. The computing device also has a wide adjustable hinge that allows the user to pull the screen near or fold it back. This feature makes touch applications more comfortable over longer periods, in any position.
Key highlights of the 27-inch All-In-One PC is that it has a frameless display and is just 24.5 mm thick. It has an advanced Lenovo High-Sense (720p HD) webcam. As the screen is foldable (swivels -5 to 90 degrees) into an interactive tabletop for games, it comes with the Lenovo IdeaTouch, which is a suite of touch-optimized applications and games.
Moving on to the hardware aspect of A720, the world’s slimmest All-In-One PC runs on the 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor and features Nvidia GeForce 2 GB graphics. It has upto 8 GB DDR3 memory, capable of storing data up to 1TB HDD and up to 64 GB SSD. Lenovo gives you an option to choose between DVD reader/ writer or Blu-ray Disc drive. The device also has connectivity options such as Bluetooth 1 and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. That’s not all, it also comes embedded with USB 2.0, USB 3.0 connectors, HDMI in/out for connecting to other high-definition devices and 6-in-1 card reader. All of the above run smoothly on genuine Windows 7 Home Premium and is capable of running Windows 8, whenever it is launched.
