After building hype around the Lenovo Z5, the Chinese manufacturer finally launched it through an unveil event in China. The company used the same platform to announce other smartphones like Lenovo K5 Note and Lenovo A5.
Lenovo Z5
The Lenovo Z5 smartphone features a notched IPS LCD display that measures 6.2 inches. The elongated display carries support for an aspect ratio of 19:9. The 1.8 GHz octa-core processor of the Snapdragon 636 chipset powers the smartphone along with 6 GB of RAM. It can be availed in two storage variants like 64 GB and 128 GB.
The vertical dual camera setup sitting at the top-left corner of the Lenovo Z5 includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. The AI capabilities of the dual camera setup allow it to capture impressive portrait shots. The front-facing camera of 8-megapixel is equipped with AI and machine learning for shooting better selfie shots. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.
The handset is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo that is skinned with ZUK 4.0. The company has confirmed that the Z5 will be receiving the Android P update. It includes a 3,300mAh battery and it carries support for 18W fast charging through USB-C. Like the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro smartphones, the rear glass of the Lenovo Z5 reflects two-tone colors when viewed from different angles.
Lenovo K5 Note
Lenovo had launched the K5 Note in 2016. Today, the company has unveiled a new smartphone with the same moniker as the successor for its 2016 edition. The new Lenovo K5 Note has arrived with a 6-inch IPS LCD display that supports HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Snapdragon 450 chipset powers the smartphone. The 32 GB and 64 GB variants of the phone respectively feature 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. For more storage, the handset offers its users with a microSD card slot. The fingerprint scanner is located on the backside of the phone.
The horizontal dual camera setup includes 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture that is assisted by f/2.4 aperture 2-megapixel fixed focus sensor for depth sensing. It has a selfie shooter of 8-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. Like the Lenovo Z5, the K5 Note is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo that is modified with ZUI 4.0. It is fueled by 3,760mAh battery. The colors of the Lenovo K5 Note include Black, Blue and Gold.
Lenovo A5
The Lenovo A5 is a low budget phone that is packed with modest specs. It houses a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display that produces HD+ resolution along with a tall aspect ratio of 18:9. The MediaTek MT6739 chipset and 3 GB of RAM fuels the smartphone. The two storage models of the Lenovo A5 are 16 GB and 32 GB. It also features a microSD card slot. It is packed with a massive battery of 4,000mAh capacity. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the Lenovo A5.
The frontside of the Lenovo A5 features an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. The back panel has a 13-megapixel snapper with f/2.2 aperture. It comes preinstalled with ZUI 3.9 based Android 8.1 Oreo. The color variants of the Lenovo A5 include Black, White and Pink.
Lenovo Z5, K5 Note and A5 Pricing
The 64 GB and 128 GB Lenovo Z5 models are respectively priced at 1,299 Yuan (~Rs. 13,600) and 1,799 Yuan (~Rs. 18,850).
Lenovo K5 Note’s 32 GB and 64 GB storage editions are respectively priced at 799 Yuan (~Rs. 8,400) and 999 Yuan (~Rs. 10,500). The 16 GB and 32 GB editions of the Lenovo A5 respectively cost 599 Yuan (~Rs. 6,300) and 699 Yuan (~Rs. 7,400).
