Lenovo’s Vibe Z2 Pro is a 6-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Phablet for just Rs. 32,999

The monstrosity of this phablet is defined by the 6-inch Quad-HD IPS display, pumping out a 2560×1440 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 490 ppi. While it isn’t the first smartphone with that kind of a display to be made available in India, it’s definitely the most affordable one. The other two, LG G3 (Rs. 39,990) and Oppo Find 7 (Rs. 37,990), are costlier than the Vibe Z2 Pro. Despite it’s 6-inch size, the metallic frame is quite thin at 7.7mm, but it’s also a bit on the heavy side as it weighs 179g.

Apart from the huge display, it also packs in a huge 4000mAh battery unit that the company claims is good enough for 45 hours of talktime and 39 days on standby mode. There’s more to claim it’s monstrosity as the phone packs in a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera sits on the front with anti-distortion lens. The rear camera also has OIS (optical image stabilization), 4K video recording and high-speed 120fps videos.

The other important features you need to know is that it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with UI on top of it called Vibe UI 2.0. The good guys at Lenovo have allowed an option to boot into stock Android mode, just in case you don’t like Vibe UI. The phone comes pre-loaded apps like SHAREit, SYNCit, CLONEit, SNAPit Camera, SEEit Gallery, AccuWeather, UC Browser, Route 66 Navi+Maps, Evernote and Guvera Music.

It’s powered by a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8974AC) 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone only has internal storage of 32GB, so no microSD card support. Of course, it supports dual-SIM functionality. Other connectivity options like 4GLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC are present.

At this price point, would you consider buying this monster phablet by Lenovo?
