With the launch of Kin One and the revelation of Motorola Flipout a new trend for Social Networking phones with a bit squared-up form factor seems to be a gigantic hit. LG has now announced a similar form factor phone with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, and it is called the LG Imprint.
The phone will be available via MetroPCS and is targeted towards heavy texters, crazy social network users and on-the-go IM users. The phone will also feature a GPS receiver, Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera and a microSD card slot.
The phone will have a bundle of pre-installed softwares, which will include a media player, web browser, email client, a photo editing application, news reader called Pocket Express, myMetro and the MetroNavigator which will help you with navigation.
So the LG Imprint is targeted towards a younger audience, although this is not a smartphone the device is quite capable. Priced at $109 the LG Imprint is available through MetroPCS.
