LG has been the leading home entertainment brand in the Indian market, but it drove the point home with the launch of the world’s first 84 inch Ultra HD 3D TV yesterday.
It boasts of a very impressive resolution of 3840×2160 which four times greater than Full HD. It surely is a massive beast that comes at a massive price of Rs. 17,00,000. The product is surely aimed at a very niche class or the high end segment.
From what we have gathered, there have been only 9 orders placed for the 84 inch Ultra HD 3D TV yet, with 3 of them by India’s richest man (I’m sure you can guess who that is;))
If you’re one of the blessed one for whom the price tag of this Ultra HD TV isn’t a problem, the lack of suitable content for this high resolution surely will be. With hardly enough content being made available for 3D TV’s yet, Ultra HD seems to be a step ahead and might take at least a year before we get enough content to enjoy this high resolution.
Though, we must admit that the viewing experience or let’s say the sheer visual delight which this 84 inch Ultra HD TV brings to the table is unparalleled and even makes the full HD TV’s look dull in comparison.
Most of the features of this 84 incher are very similar to LG’s 55 inch LM8600, we reviewed a few months back.
You can experience the LG 84 inch Ultra HD 3D TV at the Stuff gadget show which is happening at the MMRDA grounds in BKC, Bandra in Mumbai from 11 am to 7 pm between 3rd & 4th November.
