Maxis Ties up with Motorola to Launch Xoom WiFi in Malaysia

Tablet fans in Malaysia have a lot to be happy about with Maxis along with Motorola Mobility announcing the launch of the new Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi in Malaysia in May.

The Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi runs the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) designed for tablets which is the world’s first device to do so. Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi’s specs include 10.1-inch HD display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 32 GB of memory and 1GB of RAM, 2-MP front-facing camera for video chats and 5-MP Back camera with Dual LED Flash and auto focus. You also have access to Google Mobile services. It has a standby time of up to 14 days and enables you to edit videos using Movie Studio.

You also get access to Google Maps 5.0 and the Android market via Google Mobile Services. You can even view Flash based content like Videos, Games, Website, etc. files on Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi with the support of beta version of Adobe Flash Player 10.2 which can be downloaded from the Android Market.

The technology in Tablet features sensors of Proximity, ambient light, barometer and gyroscope and consists of an Accelerometer as well. It has an SD card slot but the feature will be supported only after a software upgrade in the near future.

The cost of Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi in the Motorola store is 599.00 USD but its tie up with Maxis could shoot the cost further with various schemes and packages available from Maxis.

  • What a load of crap… launch it when uve got hsdpa sorted out.. not some crappy wifi like a parasite. Unless theres no hsdpa… im sticking to my ipad… frustrated and excited
