Micromax Mobiles has just announced a new addition to their growing portfolio of Android smartphones. The new handset to be announced is the intriguingly named A45 Superfone Punk. The Superfone Punk happens to be a dual SIM Android powered handset running Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.
Targeted at folks on the lookout for a budget smartphone, the device features a 650 Mhz processor as well as a 3.5 inch display – which is a decent screen size for a handset in its price range. The display resolution is however is a disappointing 320*480 pixels. But then, at its price range you have little to complain about. Another sought after feature on a device in its price range is dual SIM capability – and the A45, like many of its cousins – too sports this functionality.
Taking care of te imaging bit is a 2 megapixel camera at the rear which should suffice for casual photography. Connectivity options include Wi-fi, EDGE, USB and Bluetooth. The phone misses out on 3G connectivity. The phone supports memory cards of up to 32 GB capacity. The phone is being targeted as a multimedia handset and also comes with a set of funky looking headphones.
Apart from all these, the phone also comes preloaded with AISHA, a voice recognition app which we had seen earlier on the A50 Ninja. It also come preloaded with content from the latest Rihanna album, Talk that Talk released on Universal music.
The A45 Superfone Punk would be available in two color options – white and black. It would retail for Rs. 5499 across retail outlets in the country.
