Desi phonemaker Micromax has announced the launch of a brand new Android powered handset to their already burgeoining list of smartphones with the addition of the A 84 Superfone Elite . The A84 happens to be an Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) powered device which runs a 1Ghz processor under the hood. It boasts of a 10.1 cm IPS WVGA display that dominates its front and also comes preinstalled with “Aisha”, Micromax’s own Siri like voice assistant.
The A84 also gets a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash which is quite capable of taking care of most of your casual imaging needs. The rear camera can also capture videos – however, Micromax hasn’t revealed in the official spec sheet, the phone’s video recording resolution details. We do however expect it to do at least VGA quality recording at 30 fps. The phone also gets a front camera for video calling and video chatting purposes.
Powering the handset is a 1630 MAH battery that according to Micromax should last for 5 hours if you blabber continuously and for 160 hours, if you keep the phone in standby mode. The phone gets a Micro Sd card slot which can take cards of up to 32 GB in size. Connectivity options are comprehensive and include Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and 3G. The phone also gets GPS with A-GPS functionality for location tracking. For those who prefer USB connectivity, a micro USB connector is present as well.
