Micromax’s Yu Yureka will have its fifth sale on Amazon today and for the first time the company will put out around 25000 units of the device on sale. The sale will take place at 2pm and registrations for it are now closed. Until now, the company used to keep not more than 15000 units on sale but possibly due to high demand they decided to increase that number.
The phone was sold out within 4, 3, 3, and 4 seconds respectively during the first four sales. The system is such that if you get phone in your cart then you have to make the payment within fifteen minutes. But if you miss out on getting the phone then you can join the Waitlist and users in the Waitlist stand a chance to get the device if people fail to complete the transaction within fifteen minutes.
Companies have realised how popular their devices have got and are easing the process for users to buy one. On 10th February, 2015, OnePlus too had an open sale for the One on Amazon. The Yu Yureka has been in the news for a long time, mainly for the specs it offered at such a low price and for the whole fiasco of Micromax signing CyanogenMod exclusively. The phone is a stiff competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi Note which sells exclusively on Flipkart.
The key specifications of the Yu Yureka are —
5.5 inch, 720p display
1.5GHz Octa Core, Snapdragon 615 processor
2GB RAM
13 Megapixel rear camera, 5 Megapixel camera on the front
2500mAh power battery
