Microsoft reveals details regarding updates for its Windows Phone 7 which will also induce a change in name to Windows Phone 7.5. The update dubbed the ‘Mango’ is large enough and hence justifies the change of name.
The update imbibes a business features that will make it easy for users. Some of the features include Pinnable e-mail folders, conversation view in e-mail, etc. However, the more exciting prospect of the update is the inclusion of Lync Mobile for WP which provides an Instant Messaging service and presence in your business environment so that you can stay connected to your colleagues.
It can be downloaded for free from the WP Marketplace and also allows you access to Lync services. The complex password security is the best of all features which nullifies the unnecessary tension of keeping our data secure. It also gives support for access to hidden corporate Wi-Fi networks.
Along with this the WP Marketplace will hope to go over 16,000 apps. The transition of name does suggest that a lot more updates are yet be revealed.
Now the only thing don’t understand the naming strategy behind the updates. Goggle started naming its Android Updates related to food names, now Microsoft too comes up with a fruit name-Mango. We wonder if any plans for an Apple here?
