Motorola has also jumped on the social networking bandwagon and will be launching their Facebook dedicated phone called Motokey Social (EX225) soon.
Well, Motorola isn’t exactly the first to launch Facebook dedicated phones. HTC also has two phones, viz, HTC Chacha and HTC Salsa catering to the same purpose. Vodafone also had recently launched their Facebook phone, the Vodafone Blue.
And just like the other devices, it also features a dedicated Facebook button which would help post status updates and images on the site. Besides, the Motokey Social features a 2.4” QVGA screen, a 3MP camera, QWERTY keypad and a 910 mAh battery that provides you with a talk time of 480 minutes.
With majority of the population increasingly using handhelds to access the internet and spending most of their time on social networking sites especially Facebook; it does make sense to make phones that would facilitate one’s interaction with the site and help post status messages and photos more easily and quickly.
The Motokey Social looks a lot similar to the EX119, and is infact a mofified version of the same and retains most of the specs. The EX119 was priced at Rs. 5700 and we expect the Motokey Social to carry a similar price tag.
