Finally the Motorola Droid X2 is officially announced after the date was leaked last week and the specs and pics have been leaking from about 3 months now, the Droid X 2 will be launched through verizon on May 26. The device costs $199 after the contract. The pre-orders of the Droid X2 will be starting from May 19.

Motorola has said that they will be updating Droid X2 to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) very soon . Well the Droid X2 does not have 4G LTE capabilities and will be up against LG Revolution and Sony Ericsson Xperia Play which will also be launching on the same date on Verizon Wireless.
