As per Gottabemobile’s sources, Motorola’s Droid Razr and the Razr Maxx are set to get an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich on Verizon in the US by tomorrow, i.e. 29th June.
The update was pushed to a few users as part of the “soak test” that manufacturers usually carry out in order to ensure that the updates are working perfectly fine and without any glitches.
Verizon is yet to officially confirm the same, though they had earlier announced an Android 4.0 update for its Moto Razr customers on the 22nd of June which was obviously not met. Gottbemobile goes on to say that a release is even more likely to happen tomorrow considering the fact that Motorola promised an ICS upgrade by the end of Q2 which ends tomorrow.
With Motorola now being a Google owned company, we believe that it should be able to roll out upgrades to their devices much sooner than they did in the past.
