Motorola who had started to offer value for money phones in India has now decide to open experience zones in the country. The main purpose is to keep all their products on display so that consumers can get a hands on off them. This is a good move as all Moto products sell exclusively online and very often one has to buy one even without getting a demo. The experience zones will also be a service centre where people can come to service their Moto devices. The most important thing to keep in mind is that a customer cannot buy a product at these stores and Moto will continue to sell exclusively on Flipkart.
Motorola has tasted great success in the Indian markets and their Moto G is one of the most popular phones in the mid range bracket. The company has claimed to have sold over 3 million phones on Flipkart and opening these stores will increase their brand presence in the country. The first store is almost ready and will open in Bangalore. During this year, they plan to launch such store in other metropolitan cities too. They had even launched the Moto E at a steal for Rs. 7000.
Due to this, many companies lowered the prices of their products to compete with Moto. This was obviously great news for consumers as now they have a variety of phones to choose from in the lower price brackets. Now many international players like Lenovo, Gionee, Huawei have started offering phones at reasonable prices. Last year, Lenovo had opened SDC (Smart Devices Connected) stores in India. So this concept a bit similar to that. So now if you aren’t sure of buying a Moto device online before checking it out then head over to these stores once they open and make your decision.
