Just days after we spotted the tablet being sold in a store along with the HTC Flyer, Motorola has announced that its Xoom, the first ever Android HoneyComb based tablet has officially gone on sale in India. Motorola is offering both, the Wi-Fi and the Wi-Fi +3G versions in the country.
Laden with the 1GHz dual-core processor and a GB of RAM, the device boasts of the latest in hardware specs. Then there is the 10.1-inch, 1280×800 widescreen HD display. It also has a decent 5 megapixel camera at the rear plus a 2 megapixel front camera.
Other notable buts include the built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer and adaptive lighting. The tablet supports up to 10 hours of video playback and charges in half the time of some competitive tablets on the market, claims Motorola.
The official pricing for the devices are as follows:
Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi version is Rs 32,990 (MRP: Rs 34,490)
Motorola Xoom 3G version is Rs 39,990 (MRP: Rs 41,490).
