It was just a few days ago that first reports of Nokia reportedly building a new Phablet sized device came to light. Back then the device was christened the Nokia “Bandit”. Now, folks from over at Evleaks have in a tweet revealed that Nokia could call this phone by the name the Lumia 1520. Now, Evleaks as had a history of leaking credible sounding info much prior to a launch and have been usually proven correct.
As for the Nokia Bandit, this one is expected to be a Windows Phone toting deice with a huge 6 inch display. Unlike Nokia’s current large screen device – the Lumia 625 which is a mid range device, this one is expected to be an all out high end phablet. Under the hood, the device is likely to get the meanest and fastest Qualcomm chipset around (either the Snapdragon 600 or the 800, we believe). Looks wise, it would follow the same old Nokia polycarbonate design principle. Rest of the features are currently unknown. However, as the norm is with Nokia, we expect a bunch of leaked images and information in the days to come!
As for this current rumor, we would advise you to take this one too with the proverbial pinch of salt. The Nokia 1520 might or might not be real – but there is no denying the fact that Nokia is watching the large screened Phablet market with keen interest!
