NVIDIA has announced the launch of its fastest and quietest dual graphics card ever – the GeForce GTX 590 in . It is powered by dual NVIDIA Fermi class GPUs on a single card. The GTX 590 is targeted at the enthusiast crowd looking forward to build the latest and the fastest gaming rigs around. The card boasts of 3GB of GDDR5 memory, 6 billion transistors and over 2200 individual components all packed into an 11 inch dual slot card. It can play most DX 11 games of today at eye popping resolutions of 2560×1600 and higher. It supports four separate displays using which gamers can span their gaming across 3 3D capable displays. The collective resolution in this set up would be 5760×1080!
The GTX 590 will be priced starting from INR 44,250 (including VAT) although we are yet to see the prices form Nvidia’s card making partners Asus, Gainward, Gigabyte, MSI, POV, Palit, and Zotac.
The GTX 590 will face stiff competition from AMD’s Radeon HD 6990 which also claims the title of the fastest dual GPU card around.
