OnePlus is rumored to be working on an improved version of OnePlus 5 smartphone. Just as OnePlus 3T had arrived as improved version of OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 5T is also speculated to debut soon. Rumors have it that it will be unveiled in November. The alleged smartphone has appeared on OppoMart, a retailer site from China. The listing has revealed the entire specifications and pricing of its two variants.
OnePlus 5T Specifications and Features
According to OnePlus 5T’s listing on the retailer site, it measures 157 x 75.4 x 7.25mm and weighs 164 grams. It means that the alleged handset is taller and heavier than the OnePlus 5.
The listing reveals that the smartphone features a 6-inch Optic AMOLED screen that is placed under the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It carries support for full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels and produces an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Snapdragon 835 chipset is present under the hood of the OnePlus 5T and it comes in LPDRR4X RAM variants like 6 GB and 8 GB. The two storage editions of the OP5T are 64 GB and 128 GB. Compared to the 3,300mAh battery of OnePlus 5, the OppoMart listing suggests that its improved version will be coming with a larger battery of 3,450mAh capacity that will be equipped with 5V/4A Dash Charging feature.
The front and rear sides of the OnePlus 5T are expected to house the same set of cameras that are available on the OnePlus 5. Hence, the rear side of the phone would be housing a dual camera setup featuring a 20-megeapixel Sony IMX398 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 16-megapixel Sony IMX350 sensor with f/2.6 aperture. The frontside of the OP5T features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX371 sensor with f/1.6 aperture.
It will come preinstalled with Android Nougat OS that is flavored with OxygenOS skin from OnePlus. Because of the large-sized display, the fingerprint scanner can be seen on the front of OP5T in the above images.
OnePlus 5 is the smartphone from the company to feature dual rear cameras. The handset carries a tagline of “Dual Camera. Clearer Photos.” Leaked information has revealed the OP5T that has a full screen design has a tagline of “Large Screen. Same footprint.” Rumors have also revealed that the OP5T may not feature a 3.5mm audio jack.
OnePlus 5T Pricing and Pre-orders
On OppoMart, the 6 GB of RAM + 64 GB of storage model of the OnePlus 5T is priced at $549 and the advanced variant featuring 8 GB of RAM + 128 GB of storage carries a price tag of $649. Even the handset may arrive in multiple color options, OppoMart has listed only the Grey model of the phone. The retailer has started taking the pre-orders of OnePlus 5T and it mentions that the shipping will begin in late November.
The 64 GB and 128 GB storage models of the OnePlus 5 were launched with respective pricing of $479 and $539. Currently, these models have gone out of stock at the online store of OnePlus. It seems that the company may discontinue the OnePlus 5 in a bid to launch the OP5T.
