Opera has released its latest State of The Mobile Web Report which has some really interesting statistics that point towards the explosive growth of Opera’s Mobile browsers over the past few months. While Opera might have not been able to gain a sizable share of the Desktop browser market, when it comes to mobile devices, Opera virtually has no competition. The latest report projects the user base of Opera’s Mobile browsers to have grown beyond the 100 million mark.
The lion’s share of the user base account for Opera Mini users with 90.4 million people. Opera Mobile, the smartphone oriented version accounts for 15 million people.
Opera is also slated to release new versions of its mobile browser at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. All the platforms it currently supports namely, Android, iPhone, J2ME, BlackBerry, Symbian and iOS would get these new versions.
