Today through a launch event in Mumbai, Oppo announced the Oppo F7 smartphone. The Oppo F7 has arrived as a successor phone for Oppo F5 that flaunted a full screen display. Enabled with notched display like the iPhone X, the Oppo F7 delivers a higher screen-to-body ratio than the predecessor phone.
Oppo F7 Specifications and Features
The Oppo F7 that features glass panels on front and rear sides is flanked with a metallic frame. It measures 156 x 75.3 x 7.8mm and it has a weight of 158 grams. It features an IPS LCD display of 6.23 inches. It offers an aspect ratio of 19:9 and Full HD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels.
The MediaTek Helio P60 that comprises of an octa-core processor that clocks at 2 GHz. The Oppo F7 variant featuring 64 GB of storage includes 4 GB of RAM. On the other side, its 128 GB variant would be packed with 6 GB of RAM. Both the models feature a dedicate slot adding a microSD card. The handset receives power from 3,400mAh battery.
The rear side of the Oppo F7 feature an f/1.8 aperture 16-megpixel camera. Through AI, it can recognize 16 different objects and scenes to capture optimized photos. The Oppo F7 is the first smartphone to feature the Sony IMX576 sensor as the front-facing camera. The 25-megapixel selfie snapper can capture beautified selfie shots by scanning 296 points on the face through AI Beauty 2.0 app. It also serves a facial unlock feature. The AI technology can now understand age, gender, skin tone and skin texture of different people to capture images with rich detail.
The rear panel of the Oppo F7 is also fitted with a fingerprint scanner. The connectivity features available on the Oppo F7 are dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4., microUSB, USB OTG and GPS. The handset runs on the latest ColorOS 5.0, a customized version of the Android 8.1 Oreo.
Oppo F7 Pricing and Availability
The Chinese manufacturer will be conducting 24-hour flash sale on April 2. Through it, the company will be making available 10,000 units of the F7 available through Flipkart and 777 Oppo stores. The official sales of the phone will begin on April 9.
Priced at Rs. 21,990, the 64 GB Oppo F7 can be availed in colors like Solar Red and Moonlight Silver. The special edition Oppo F7 smartphone variants such as Diamond Black and Sunrise Red with 128 GB storage can be bought for Rs. 26,990. These special edition models of Oppo F7 will be only available through select Oppo stores.
The launch offers of the Oppo F7 are 5 percent cash back for ICICI credit card users during the flash sale. The other offers include one-time screen replacement for free and 120 GB 4G data from Jio along with up to Rs. 1,2000 cash back in 12 months.
