Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition were officially announced earlier today in Beijing, China. Both the smartphones have premium appeal, notched display and stellar cameras. Here is everything on their specifications, features and pricing.
OPPO R15, Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition Specifications and Features
The Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition feature 6.28-inch OLED display that supports Full HD+ resolution of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels. Unlike last year’s R series of smartphones, the newly unveiled R15 does not have a Plus version since both the devices are of same size. The rear side of the R15 will be arriving with a 2.5D curved glass whereas the R15 DME features a 3D curved glass.
The Oppo R15 duo are running on the newest ColorOS 5.0, a customized edition of the Android 8.1 Oreo. The backside of both phones is fitted with a fingerprint scanner. The Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition are powered by different chipsets. However, both the phones are packed with 6 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128 GB. These handsets also feature a microSD card slot. Also, the Oppo R15 duo feature the same 20-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The selfie snapper is capable at capturing images with bokeh effect.
The Oppo R15 and R15 DME differ in features like chipset, cameras and battery. The MediaTek Helio P60 chipset that was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in February is present under the hood of the Oppo R15. The dual rear cameras on the handset feature the new Sony IMX519 sensor as the primary lens with f/1.7 aperture and secondary snapper of 5-megapixel.
The connectivity features available on the Oppo R15 are 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB, Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual SIM support and 4G VoLTE. It houses a 3,450mAh battery that is equipped with VOOC fast charging functionality. It can be availed in colors like Hot Red, Snow White and Star Purple.
The Oppo R15 DME features the Snapdragon 660 chipset that powered the R-series phones in 2017. The dual camera setup includes the same 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 as primary sensor that is coupled by a 20-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.7 aperture. Apart from Bluetooth 5.0, it features the same connectivity features like the Oppo R15. It includes a 3,400mAh battery that is also enable with support for VOOC fast charging. It will be available in two color choices such as Dream Red and Ceramic Black.

The Oppo R15 is priced at 2,999 Yuan (~Rs. 30,900) whereas the Dream Red version of the Oppo R15 DME costs 3,299 Yuan (~Rs. 34,000) whereas its Ceramic Black carries a price tag of 3,499 Yuan (~Rs. 36,000). The official sales of the R15 and R15 DME at midnight on April 1 in China.
