By the launching the Realme 1 smartphone today, Oppo has introduced the “Realme” sub-brand in India. The Realme 1 is a “Made in India” device that will be only available online through Amazon India.
Oppo Realme 1 Specifications and Features
The Oppo Realme 1 is fitted with a 6-inch display that produces Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The 18:9 aspect ratio supporting display offers a screen-to-body of 84.75 percent. The handset is fueled by MediaTek Helio P60 chipset that comprises of a2.0 GHz octa-core processor and a dedicated dual-core APU unit for handling AI tasks.
The Oppo Realme 1 comes in three editions. The base model features 32 GB of storage and 3 GB of RAM. The second variant has 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM whereas the highest model includes 128 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM. All the variants feature a dedicated slot for adding a microSD card. The backside of the Realme 1 features a 13-megapixel camera that is accompanied by an LED flash. It has a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel. The Realme 1 receives power from 3,410mAh battery.
The Realme 1 comes loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS that is overlaid with ColorOS 5.0. The handset is packed with numerous AI features. First of all, the AI management of the SoC ensures smooth performance. The AI battery management feature can kill apps running in the background for better battery performance. The AI Shot feature available for the camera brings along features like portrait mode, AR stickers, AI beauty mode 2.0 and scene recognition.
The handset does not feature a fingerprint scanner, but it features AI facial recognition that can scan 296 facial points for unlocking phone in just 0.1 seconds. The other features that are available on the Realme 1 include 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.
Oppo Realme 1 Pricing and Availability
The 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants of the Oppo Realme 1 are respectively priced at Rs. 8,9990, Rs. 10,990 and Rs. 13,990. The Realme 1 will be available for buying starting from May 25 at 12 PM.
The handset can be availed in three colors like Diamond Black, Moonlight Silver and Solar Red. Oppo has also included a free screen guard and a free case inside the box package of the Realme 1. The launch offers for the Realme 1 smartphone include 5 percent cashback for buyers with SBI cards. Jio subscribers can avail a cashback of Rs. 4,850.
The newly introduced Realme series is a premium mid-range smartphone brand by Oppo for India. The Realme brand will include phones priced between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 20,000.
