Panasonic has introduced a new P-series smartphone called the Panasonic P101 in India. It is a budget phone that is aimed towards the young users in the country. It comes with a fitted with a trendy 18:9 aspect ratio display and an affordable price tag of Rs. 6,999.
Panasonic P101 Specifications and Features
The Panasonic P101 features a 5.45-inch Big View IPS LCD display that supports an aspect ratio of 18:9 and HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The screen is tucked under a 2.5D curved glass.
The MediaTek MT6737 chipset that includes a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor is present under the hood of Panasonic P101. The SoC is coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It features an inbuilt storage of 16 GB. For additional storage, it is equipped with an external storage slot that supports up to 128 GB of microSD. It receives to power from 2,500mAh battery.
The Panasonic P101 features an LED and autofocus enabled rear camera of 8-megapixel. The front-facing 5-megapixel camera is also equipped with an LED flash. It is loaded with Android 71 Nougat. The other features of the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB 2.0. It lacks a fingerprint scanner. The handset measures 148.8x72x9.1mm and weighs 145 grams.
The Panasonic P101 priced at Rs. 6,999 is available for purchase through offline retailer Sangeetha Mobiles. For existing and new subscribers, Idea is offering 60 GB data for the buyers of new Panasonic phone. By making a recharge of Rs. 199, uses can take advantage of 10 GB of extra data with a validity of 28 days. A user can avail this offer for up to six times. Also, the mobile operator is also offering a cashback of Rs. 2,000 to the buyers of Panasonic P101 which reduces its price to Rs. 4,999.
Some of the major competitors of the Panasonic P101 are the 16 GB storage + 2 GB RAM variants of the Redmi Y1 Lite and InFocus Vision 3 that are also priced at Rs. 6,999. The latter is not only equipped with an 18:9 screen, but also it features a dual camera setup and a fingerprint reader.
