Engadget has leaked out the upcoming Palm tablets, and there are two of them as it seems. A 9″ version dubbed ‘Topaz’ and another 7″ (reading focused) version called the Opal. No mystery spec like a PixelQI screen here, but the webOS gesture area would sure be something worth trying on a tablet. The UI in the renders, look pretty much the same as the Pre, and we are guessing, it will again be the ‘apps designed for the larger screen’ making a difference (just like on the iPad).
Less than a month to the date when we officially expect the webOS tablet to be announced, the leaked images are not a live pics, but a render. We can take that to heart (Sept 2011 launch is Far), but hey – I sure care less about a tablet from HP-Palm for now. Hope they have a few decent smartphones lined up 🙂 Opal/Topaz – see you in September.
