If you thought that Samsung Wave II would make Samsung slow down then the company just proved you wrong. Samsung has announced three new Wave phones – Wave 525 (GT-S5250), Wave 533 (GT-S5330) and Wave 575 (GT-S5750). All three Wave phones will run Samsung Bada OS and are practically same devices with few changes in specifications. Out of three Wave phones, the Wave 575 is the one that’ll come with HSDPA connectivity and thereby promising faster mobile web experience.
All new Wave phones – Wave 525, Wave 533, Wave 575 will sport a 3.2-inch capacitive WQVGA TFT LCD display touchscreen, 100MB internal memory and microSD slot that allows expandable memory up to 16GB. Out of these three, Wave 525 aka Wave 2 is an EDGE featuring model, while Wave 533 aka Wave 2 Pro sports a slide-out QWERTY. While the Wave 575 would feature 3G HSDPA network support.
In terms of specifications, Wave 575 will have 3.2 megapixel camera with geotagging support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm jack, and Stereo FM with RDS. In terms of software, this phone will run TouchWiz 3.0 interface over Bada OS and will have Social Hub pre-installed to meet all social networking needs. Featuring 1200mAh battery, the Wave 575 flaunts only 11.9mm thickness.
Samsung Wave 525 and Wave 533 are already being sold in Russia. Samsung promises to make them available gradually in CIS, Europe, Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Africa. While the Wave 575 will see a mid-November release in Sweden and then eventually land in other countries including Europe, Southeast Asia and China.
